April 25th, 2014 – “Waste Not Mystics” – Wonder Fair Art Gallery
I will be having a solo exhibition at Wonder Fair Gallery in Lawrence, Kansas opening April 25th. The exhibit will be opening during Final Friday Art Walk 6pm – 9:30pm at the gallery located just above the Burger Stand on Mass Street.
The show will consist of all brand new hand-pulled screen prints based around the Waste Not Mystics, a mythical herd of genetically engineered unicorns. Through courage and soulful determination, they defy impending doom, restore lost beauty, and unlock magic from within. Hopeful glimpses of victory can be viewed through their prisms of rainbow and star dust defense against the dark forces of Petroleum Power.
This should be a really fun show for kids, teenagers, and adults of all ages and will consist of my most technically involved prints to date. Many little surprises await as well!………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

It is a dual exhibition of recent work ranging from large mixed media works and screen prints on wood and paper to huge interactive sculptures and installation art created by me and Kansas City sculptor Juniper Tangpuz.
The work is about land and energy consumption and the impact that human consumption has on the earth and its past and present wildlife. Past wildlife includes dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures and present-day bison, pronghorn, coyotes, and magical unicorns! Our hope is that everyone will enjoy the art, interact with it, and absorb the satire of the show and the ideas within.
